What is 9Cat?
9Cat is the main character of the 9Cat Saga game and the overarching 9Metaverse. The initial debut 9Cat NFT collection consists of 9999 unique playable characters for the 9Cat Saga game. Each 9Cat NFT grants access to all our games, unlocks the potential for NFT breeding and passively generates 9Milk tokens that can be used for a variety of utilities.
Where did the name 9Cat come from?
The name 9Cat was crafted with Ancient Egyptian lore in mind.
It is often said that during the time of the Pyramids Egyptians worshipped cats as godly creatures. The Egyptian god Atum-Ra, known to most as the Sun god, was said to assume the form of a cat and is associated with the number 9. He was associated with the number 9 due to the belief that he gave birth to 8 other other gods and together they stand as 9. This is where the saying ‘Cats have 9 lives’ is said to derive from.
The name 9Cat is derived from this number associated with Atum-Ra, and the popular saying we still use to this day.
How do I mint my 9Cat? How much will it cost?
In order to mint, you will need a Metamask wallet that is funded with enough Ether (ETH) to cover the cost of minting your 9Cat and the associated gas fees to run the transaction on the network.

Who are we?
We are led by Wendy Lam who has a background in mobile app development, game design, UI/UX design, project management, and crypto. We are also supported by the wonderful people over at the Hong Kong Blockchain Association.
Why get a 9Cat?
A 9Cat NFT allows you to have your own unique character in the 9Cat Saga game with its own set of skills, and unlocks the ability to earn 9Photon tokens in-game. Each 9Cat NFT also generates 9Milk utility tokens that allow you to personalise your 9Cat, imprint a backstory to the blockchain, and breed new 9Cats into existence. Breeding requires at least TWO 9Cats with a gestation period of 9 days being applied - A maximum breeding limit of NINE per 9Cat NFT is also applicable.
